ADM Pre-Harvest Checklist: 8 Things to Do Before Heading to the Field
While most of the hard work at harvest takes place in the field, there are other steps you can take to make life easier off the field and avoid administrative snafus from getting in the way of moving your crop to market quickly and easily.
Here are a few things you can do to ensure your ADM account(s) are in order so that you have a seamless, successful fall harvest this year:
1) Enroll in ADM Direct Deposit to get paid faster
Sign up for ADM Direct Deposit to receive your grain payments faster and more securely.
- No need to wait for your check
- No need to take your check to the bank
- No chance of your check getting lost in the mail
- If you want, no need to wait for your settlements either
2) Review specific payment instructions or changes to your account
Reach out to your local representative to discuss different payment options such as deferment until the new calendar year. It’s also useful to update your account with new vendors, address changes, or updates regarding landlord(s) or farm split percentages.
3) Set up online contract signing
Get your contracts sent directly to your email to sign with a click of a button. Contact your local ADM representative to get started.
4) Manage your account with ADM apps
Manage your ADM account with our new apps – ADM Access and Gradable® (choose one or both). Both apps provide futures, cash bids, grain contracts, scale tickets, settlements, and more. To decide which app is best for you, check out this handy comparison chart.
Link your account with your cell phone number to get started in the apps. First time using the apps? Give us a call and we’ll walk you through it.
5) Sign up for text and email alerts
If you haven’t already, text SIGNUP to 23811 to receive text alerts about elevator harvest hours, and sign up for email alerts to receive local information, weekly ASP updates, news updates, and more.
6) Check the truck wait time with ADM Wait Time app
Download the app on the App Store or get it on Google Play (locations vary).
7) Get your ADM swipe card ready
Move faster through the dump process by checking in with an approved card that registers your bushels in our system to your account (locations vary).
8) Enroll in ADM re:generations™
Want a premium on bushels hauled? ADM has programs to support farm legacies and consumer demand. If you are growing cover crops, adopting no-till wheat, or interested in a premium on corn and/or beans hauled, be sure to reach out (locations vary).
